Christina “Lola” Doward is a licensed hair and make-up specialist and is widely known as the creator of “The Lola Look.” She brings an innate sense of beauty knowledge and more than 10 years of professional experience as a stylist in New York City’s fashion arena to her clients at Gemini 14.
Doward’s “Lola Look,” which encompasses her work in extensions, color, cut, makeup and bridal, has been featured numerous times in magazines, film, on television, billboards and even on New York City tour busses. Her work has graced the pages of “People” and “US Weekly” and has been seen on Necessary Roughness, The View, Vogue Models, Big Time Rush, Matthew Christopher Couture Runway, and Bridal Fashion Week.
Doward has worked with such celebrities as Colin Farrell, Callie Thorne , and Kristen Shaal. Most recently, she finished a color piece for Bridesmaids’ actress, Kristen Wiig. She also does runway work and fashion photography, but her main focus is on everyday beauty.
Having grown up in New York City, Doward, early on, was very much aware of the latest beauty styles and fashions. At the tender age of five, she began experimenting on her mother and family. She knew she found her calling when her mother would rave about her lashes, lids and lips at family gatherings. This was the beginning of “The Lola Look.”
She studied and received her cosmetology license at Carstein University and honed her makeup skills at MUD – Makeup Designory. An intensive workshop with special effects powerhouse, Michele Mulkey, was one of the highlights of her academic career.
